Dr. Ran Meng will join the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University at Albany, SUNY as an Assistant Professor in September 2026. Before joining UAlbany, she completed her postdoctoral training in the Gerstein Lab at Yale University and earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
Her research integrates AI, single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, and biomedical imaging to understand how genetic variation shapes tissue architecture and disease, with a focus on brain disorders and infectious diseases.
